Life-Altering Questions to Ask Yourself
One of the most valuable tools you can have in your arsenal is simply this: Questions
By asking yourself questions, you have the ability to change your focus and the direction of your life. Don’t like where you’re at? How can you move toward something better? Who do you know that has what you want that you can learn from?
A boundless world of new possibilities and ideas can step from the proper questions. Take the time to examine your life and ensure you’re on the best possible path to achieve success.
Ask yourself these questions on a regular basis:
1. Have I seen enough to have an accurate view of the world?
2. Will my finances be able to support my retirement?
It’s important to start asking this question immediately.
You only have so much time in the day to focus on your future – including if you’ll have enough for retirement. But if you don’t start now out of fear of what the future will bring, then there will be no future.
You only have so many tomorrows to prepare for the latter parts of your life.
3. Where will I end up in five years if I live this day repeatedly?
- What did I eat today?
What did I do to earn money today?
What social activities did I engage in today?
How much exercise did I get today?
4. If today were my last day to live, what would I do?
Would you spend it all day in front of a TV show or worrying over things you can’t control?
I didn’t think so.
Whatever answer you receive is a good indication of how you should be spending more of your time each day.
5. Am I pleased with my career choice or would I rather do something else?
It’s more common now to have multiple careers than it used to be. So if you’re in a career you don’t enjoy, you have other options.
Spending 40 years in a career that doesn’t excite you is a hard way to go through life.
6. What are my goals?
How do you know where you’ll end up or how close you are to success if you don’t have any goals?
Without goals, we’re relegated to choosing the best options that randomly pass through our lives.
It’s much more effective to decide what you want and make it happen. Leave luck out of the equation.
7. Which parts of my life are making me unhappy?
In order to be happy, you not only have to add in the right components, but you also have to get rid of the stuff that makes you miserable.
The low-rated parts of your life make you unhappy. It’s not the fact that you don’t have a Ferrari in your driveway.
Before adding the good things to your life – take out the trash!
8. Am I living my life in a way that supports my health?
As we get older, the wear and tear of our once youthful bodies begin to show their abuse.
To improve the odds of enjoying good health later in life, you must take care of yourself today!
Eat and sleep well. See your doctor on a regular basis.
9. Am I enjoying my life as much as I could?
Too busy with work to notice all the good things in your life?
Too worried to enjoy time spent with your children?
Every day is filled with many simply enjoyments to experience. It’s easy to get caught up in your old routine and never take the time to look around. By the time you lift your head, you realize you’re not where you want to be.
Begin to evaluate your life by asking questions. Create the change you wish to see so you can move toward the success you desire.
Be aware of your life and make conscious choices.
