Do you hate it when people assume something about you that’s not true? Are you a dog person? Do you feel the same way when people assume a dog is dangerous? I absolutely hate it when people make a judgement about me based on my makeup, hair, clothes, manner of speech … Or simply the fact that I’m a woman! (yes, sexism still exists) But I can take care of myself. And I can rise above what someone thinks about me … But dogs, as wonderful and amazing as they are … And as many new tricks they can learn … Cannot really overcome the stigmas & false information that the news and other ignorant people continue to spread around … Unless the truth is revealed!

Oh, hey! Kassandra here and I’m coming at you today about something that’s a little close to my heart … I am a dog person! I LOVE dogs! I love them in all shapes and all sizes … they’re just adorable … Don’t get me wrong – cats are great companions for some people, I just personally love dogs. And I’m talking about dogs today simply because I saw a BuzzFeed video about people who were first meeting Pit Bulls and what’s surprising to me is that people today STILL think that they’re these big, scary creatures with foaming mouths and just ANGRY and you know … AGGRESSIVE … And the thing about Pit Bulls is that they are some of the most sweet dogs you’ll meet. Yes, they CAN be aggressive if they think they’re family is in trouble but ALL dogs are. … Well, some dogs are … But they are only shown to be fighting animals because of how powerful they can be. But just like humans, just like any creature in that regard … given the right circumstances they could be some of the most amazing dogs (just like people) … If people grow up in a bad environment, they are TRAINED to think in that way. Now, there are exceptions! There are some people who do rise above and move forward with their life, but that’s people. People have that mental capability to rise above their surroundings and change. Dogs – yes they can learn new tricks but when they are raised to be fighters, to be angry, when they are starved? That’s what people do when they create Pit Bulls as fighters. They:
- starve them
- beat them
- treat them badly
- make them aggressive
And they are trained to think that way. That’s why it’s so hard when you’ve got rescues that try and rehabilitate these dogs, ok? It’s because it’s ingrained in their minds that that’s how life should be and that’s how they are. But when you raise a dog, whether it’s a Pit Bull or anything else, with love and affection and you get them socialized early on? They will be AMAZING dogs! So I urge you … If you’re afraid of Pit Bulls, curious about them … Take the time to learn about that dog! Whatever breed it is. Don’t just assume (you know what that does) … Just like a book … just like you can’t judge a book by it’s cover? You can’t judge a dog by what you see in the news! So, if you’re looking for a dog, Pit Bulls are great, but again – find one that fits your situation. Find one that works for you. Personally? I might be leaning towards what’s called a Black Mouthed Cur. They are wonderful dogs … They are so sweet and APPARENTLY in their breed description it says “likes women” … So if you have a girlfriend that comes around and your Black Mouthed Cur starts growling around her? There’s probably something not right there … So that’s about all from me for today … So I just wanted to remind & encourage you guys – Think Outside The Box! Whether it’s dogs, or humans … maybe a business opportunity …
