“Start with the End in Mind.” – Stephen R Covey
One should always start with the end in mind … It will retrain your brain to figure out solutions rather than focusing on the problem. However, if you’re not in the right mindset to begin with, all of your good intentions and hard work will go to waste.
Here are some videos I wanted to provide on mindset – things that you can look at daily to help get yourself into the right frame of mind to start your day off where you are leveraging yourself for the most prosperity in life.
NOTE: You may want to bookmark this page, as I may add additional videos in the future. 🙂
The Strangest Secret
The video below is not the actual audio. It is original footage of Earl Nightingale talking about and RE-DOING his original audio. He touches on a few other things, so I felt it was important to add it here. However, I really feel like you should get the audio and listen to it DAILY!

Simon Sinek has a simple but powerful model for inspirational leadership all starting with a golden circle and the question “Why?” His examples include Apple, Martin Luther King, and the Wright brothers … (Filmed at TEDxPugetSound.)

Do you have a fixed mindset or a growth mindset?
What does this mean?
Many of us believe that our intelligence is inate and that if we can’t do something like maths then that is meant to be.
This is a FIXED MINDSET
Carol Dweck researched into fixed and growth mindset emphasized by Eduardo Brieceno in this video.
Carol showed that people with a GROWTH MINDSET were those eager to learn new things
For additional mindset videos, I have created a YouTube Playlist that you can view and subscribe to.

Yes – it’s definitely one most people don’t know of. I would highly suggest getting the audio (it’s less than $1) so you can listen to it in the car … there’s so much more in that audio than in that video, but I felt that both were important enough to share due to distinct differences they they have. (That and you can take the audio anywhere you go.) Make it a prosperous day! 🙂

Belief is huge. And WHY you do what you do is huge. Love Simon Sineks stuff impactful and practical!
Kassandra Keeton says
I completely agree, Kevin! Thanks for stopping by.

Watched the video on growth/fixed Mindset today. Will see the others over the weekend. I have seen a discussion of this before, but this presentation was clearer. My spouse is very much into mindset and how to change neuropathways. And one of her teachings is that when confronted with a challenge, rather than saying “I can’t,” say “I am in the process of learning – doing – mastering – whatever.” It sounds as though this is the better way to tap into the growth mindset. Eager to see the others.

Thanks for stopping by, Carol! I’m glad these could help reinforce and clear up something you’ve already been introduced to. I really like that way of thinking … I’ve also heard, “Don’t say, ‘I can’t do _’ but instead say, ‘How can I _?'” But I really like what you’ve added, so thank you for posting that mindset. If you have any vids you think I can add to the YouTube list, please let me know.

Fabulous Post. I hadn’t heard of the strangest secret. Starting with the end in mind is so important too – you have to know where it is you want to be heading! 🙂 thanks
Kassandra Keeton says
Hey Gurpreet! Thanks for stopping by. Be sure to get the audio for The Strangest Secret (it’s less than a $1). The audio has more to it that I feel would bring a lot of value, more so (and in depth) than the video. Have a prosperous day keeping your goal in mind! 😉

Never heard of the strangest secret, but can i say AWESOME! Also, the power of belief is huge. In a nutshell is you believe you can you will, and if you don’t believe you can you won’t.
Kassandra Keeton says
Yes ma’am! Thanks for stopping by, Theresa. Hope you’re having a prosperous day! Remember to keep the end in mind. 😉

Just finished listening to The Strangest Secret. The primary thought I’m left with is this…..personal Development and answers about life have been spoken to us since Biblical times. And I’m familiar with the speakers and writers of the early 1900s — Napoleon Hill to name one, the then Earl Nightingale in the 50s, and how many currently — Abraham, Wayne Dyer, Marianne Williamson and on and on. And why do we find it so challenging to hang on to the concepts such as “We become what we think about?” What percentage of the world is aware of that? What percentage practices it? Why do we tend to continue to follow the followers as Earl N says? Is it simply because it’s the road less traveled? Great post Kassandra.
Kassandra Keeton says
Oh Carol – YES! It’s taken me a long time to get the handle on this concept myself, and I still struggle with it sometimes. I think the issue is in part due to the programming we’ve had since we were young, coupled with the fact that it’s hard to grasp out minds around the concept. Especially when we don’t have friends, family, or influential people in our life to look to and confirm that this IS REAL and it is the truth. Hence why the information needs to get out there! 🙂

I love all of these. Recently I have listened to the Start with Why over and over. Thinking of memorizing that one! All of these are great examples to listen to over and over till it impacts your mind. Thanks for sharing in this way.
Kassandra Keeton says
My pleasure Alecia! And if you have any suggestions to add, please feel free to leave a comment here or use my “Contact Me” page at the top of my blog!
