Time is running out to get your piece of the pie regarding the Facebook Lawsuit 2022.
September 22, 2022 is the deadline. Here’s the scoop …
I was reading my email when I see the subject line: “Notice of Proposed Settlement of Class Action”
It was sent to the email address associated with my Facebook account.
“Oh, another scam – right.”
Wrong. Even CNET was talking about it. (Found through Google search for Facebook Lawsuit 2022.)
“If you are a person who, between April 22, 2010 and September 26, 2011, inclusive, were a Facebook User in the United States who visited non-Facebook websites that displayed the Facebook Like button, you may be eligible for a payment from a Class Action Settlement.” – Case No. 5:12-MD-02314-EJD
And you have until September 12th to potentially get part of the payout.
And your rights are affected whether you act or not. So read the notice carefully.
Cause I don’t know about you, but I never saw this on the news.
And the digital media giants like Facebook & Google are always listening.
That’s not a theory.
But I digress.
Full information on this can be found here. But you must have information sent to your email about it to submit here. Otherwise, there’s a button I couldn’t tell where it went so you’ll have to click on it yourself if you didn’t receive an email.
I’ll show you what it looks like in an upcoming video.
How do I know it’s not a scam still? While my first name, last name, Facebook email may have all been pulled from the internet … Aside from the scanned docket shared earlier, there was also this.
Anyway, it’s possible to get money for people stealing your data. So that’s all I wanted to provide.
Have a prosperous rest of your day!
