Kassandra with ProsperousHeart.com here. Now, just so we’re not complete strangers here I wanted to explain a little about myself.
I’m an entrepreneur who truly cares about helping you achieve time and financial freedom.
Have you ever been in search of additional ways to create wealth? Increase your income?
I know where you’re coming from. And THAT, my friends, is is why I wanted to share 4 Simple Business Ideas for High School Students!
While today’s talk is focused on student in high school, this information is something even “adults” can use who are no longer in high school.
When teenagers are in high school, they often aren’t thinking about creating a business and earning their own money. But it might be a good idea for them to do it and learn about finances, while earning some cash.
Most teenagers are open to new ideas, so it’s fairly easy to convince a high school student to pursue a business venture. In fact, many of the most successful businessmen in the world started out when they were just kids. They started small and built upon their businesses until they turned them into multi-million dollar companies.
It’s never too early to start getting in touch with your inner entrepreneur.
You might be wondering…“What type of business can a high school student create?”
These business ideas are well-suited for high school students:
1. Freelance writing service
There are thousands of people who will gladly pay someone to write articles for their businesses. Writing articles isn’t as difficult as it sounds. Mostly, it just takes practice. Some writers can type up a 500 word article in less than 15 minutes. The internet is a great place to seek out those who need articles for their websites or products. Your teenager can advertise their services on a freelance marketplace website or design their own freelance writing website. If they find the right clients and provide an excellent service, eventually, they could even create a future career out of it. Additionally, freelance writing is an excellent way to generate some income anytime. And – like I said earlier? It’s not just for high school students.
2. Freelance photography
Does your teenager have a camera? They can offer their services as a professional photographer at various events and gatherings. The opportunities are limitless. Weddings are often an excellent source of income for freelance photographers. They can even do photo shoots of children, families, or birthday parties.
3. Manual labor
There is a continuing demand for services like lawn mowing, landscaping, and painting.
The easiest way for your teen to start these kinds of businesses is to approach others directly and offer them their services. For a lawn mowing business, they can locate a house that has an overgrown lawn and simply ask the owner if they would like to hire them to cut the lawn. It won’t take long before they get a few return customers.
Manual labor can be difficult, but will teach your student many wonderful life lessons about working hard and earning something in return for said hard work.
However, once the business starts to take off, your teen can hire more help to make the work load lighter.
There’s also the possibility to outsource the entire operation.
High school students have a lot of free-time and usually spend it playing video games. That time can be spent on building a business instead. With these ideas and some guidance, a teenager can leave those video games behind and become a business owner.
These business ideas don’t require diplomas or any previous experience. Anyone can use these ideas to generate some additional income.
At first, it might be a little nerve racking, but after the initial steps it will be much easier.
Why would you want your teenager to create a business?
They learn valuable life lessons about becoming financially stable. Even if building a business doesn’t sound like a lot of fun, it’s a great experience.
Encourage your teenager to give it a try!
